I’ve never heard one word used so much over the last 3 months. Every time I turn around people are asking me if I’ve heard of groupon or telling me about the fabulous “steal” they got on groupon. Needless to say, I had to check it out and I am so glad I did.
How It Works
- Each day groupon features something cool to do at an unbeatable price.
- Once you register, you can purchase the daily groupon.
- However, you only get it if enough people purchase the same groupon but I’ve never NOT gotten one due to lack of other purchasers.
- If that day’s groupon isn’t something you’re interested in, they’ll send you an email the next day with another great offer!
A recent example of deals I’ve gotten are:
*$18 for $40 Worth of Wines and Gourmet Small Plates at Robust Wine Bar and Café … one of my favorite local wine bars … I bought 3!
*$45 for $100 Worth of Salon Services at Verve…never been there but then again I’m not that picky about who cuts my hair or paints my toes.
*$5 for $15 of High Tea at Sisters Tea House…c’mon when else am I going to try to go have a “high tea”?
$15 for $35 Worth of Groceries at Straub’s…gourmet grocery store that I cannot typically afford but oh so yummy!
There have also been ones for Improv classes, acupuncture, clothing stores, paintball, and many more restaurants. Currently groupon isn’t in every city but they seem to be adding ones monthly. Below is a list of cities where groupon is currently available:
Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleave land, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Fort Worth, Fresno, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Providence, Raleigh/ Durham, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Sioux Falls, St. Louis, Tampa, Toronto, Vancouver, Virginia Beach/Norfolk & Washington, DC.
